Why do we still have queens and kings in our societies ?
I would say that in the past the position in society and respect for the royal family was much than it is in recent times. And most probably the reason for it was that before people had no chance of knowing the king either personally or from the media like we can today and thus their opinion and respect was mainly based on what they have heard from other people and what they have added up in their imagination and later what they have passed on to other people. But every time somebody has either misunderstood something from the previous person and/or later he has added/made up something new in his/her own mind about it to make his/her story sound more interesting and more beautiful, than in the end the king was a real hero and godly/divine person. And obviously the people very rarely had the chance to cross reference the information and thus the kind was really special person. But as I said before this was only an illusionary image in the minds of people because in reality the king/queen were always the same as everybody else - he/she needed to eat, shit, drink, sleep and fuck. One of the few differences was that he/she was more educated and informed about the world than the rest of the people because he/she had access and possibility to learn.
But this was the past. Today almost everybody has access to education and we can get to know the king/queen closer thanks to the media or even meeting them personally is much easier than it was in the past. And that's why nobody will tell us a bullshit anymore that the king/queen is somebody really special and divine and rather nobody will take it for granted anymore. And thus here is a question:
WTF do we have king and queen today ? What is the purpose of having them ?
Because look at it practically... it costs a fortune to maintain not only the king but we also have to take into consideration the whole royal family - king, queen, all the princes and princesses etc. And they are not cheap at all. They are not going to wear cheap clothes, drive a cheap car and live in a cheap, small apartment. Really, really... it costs a lot, a lot of money to maintain them.
- And who is paying for it ?
- Of course it is you.
- But do you mind paying for it ?
- Well... it looks like the majority doesn't mind at all.
People are really struggling to feed their own family but they don't mind to pay for the luxuries of the king. Why do I say this ? Well... we still have kings and queens and people don't do anything about it. And I also remember that less than 10 years ago there was a public referendum in Australia through which it was decided that Australia wants to continue being part of the British Commonwealth Realm and through this also recognizes Queen Elizabeth II as their monarch. We live in the 21 century and people still want to have a queen and king.

There is a certain possibility that the referendum was manipulated and falsely counted but otherwise W(hy)TF would you vote to stay under the monarchy of somebody who is not even living in your own country and pay money for it ? Why do you need the queen or the king ?
