7 YRS PROCESS - DAY 1899 - JUDGING THE POLITICIANS

GO BACK

Judging the politicians

I am catching up with posting online my articles.

Today I was participating in the conversation with couple of my friends. And during this discussion there came a topic of Venezuela. We have a common friends that originates from there thus we were both aware of the fatal situation in this country.

Anyway one of the participants started to judge and attack Hugo Chavez who used to be a president of Venezuela and who initiated some revolutionary changes in this country. Chavez is dead now and there are big problems for the citizens ( e.g. food shortage etc. ) and there are many voices saying that this is the fault of their ex-president.

I did not like it that my friends are so judgmental about this person and I tried to say something to defend a Chavez. I have heard some good things about this president of Venezuela but then this was an information from somebody else and not from my direct experience. I expressed my point and different view but still other participants did not really agree with me. And I also understand it. Thus I stopped further discussion which could be continuing for hours without any conclusion. I only said that we do not know all of the truth of what happened in Venezuela. The media and the "official" information are quite often manipulated and apart from this none of us had direct experience with Chavez to be able to judge him. Apart from this most of the people are not aware of all the dirty political and power games behind the scenes and we do not know really Chavez had to cope with it during his presidency. It looks like he had good intentions but somehow his plan did not work out in the best possible way. But then we cannot say that this is his fault. Because in Venezuela there are living many people and all of them are responsible for what is happening there. And this is the most important thing that we must realise.

WE MUST REALISE AND TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT IS HAPPENING IN OUR COUNTRIES AND IN THE WORLD. THUS WE MUST STOP EXPECTING THAT ONE PERSON ( E.G. PRESIDENT ) WILL DO ALL FOR US. IF WE WANT TO CHANGE IT THEN EVERYBODY MUST PARTICIPATE ACTIVELY IN THIS CHANGE. AND THE REVOLUTION IS NOT THE ANSWER. THE CHANGE MUST COME FIRST FROM WITHIN EACH PERSON.
