7 YRS PROCESS - DAY 999 - SICKNESS IS LIKE A LOOSE SCREW - PART 1

GO BACK

Sickness is like a loose screw

Let's have a look at a really complicated machine with a lot of elements fixed together with the screws. When the machine was new all was functioning perfectly and you could do your job efficiently. But after some time the machine starts to make some weird noises and it does not work as it used to before.

Now... you may take this machine to the mechanic and he can repair it for you or alternatively you may try to fix it yourself to save some money. The repair may require change of some parts but quite often it is enough to tighten few screws which got loose and this results that the loose parts make these weird noises.

There is also an option that you do not have money to pay the specialist to repair your complicated machine and you would try to fix it yourself although you do not have sufficient knowledge and expertise. Obviously there is a big chance that you will not identify correctly where the cause of the problem is and/or you do not tighten all the loose screws. Whatever you do may help to reduce the noise but still the problem is there and sooner or later it may/will come back.

So what does the machines and the screws have to do with the body and the sickness ?

Well... we could look at our body as a complicated machine with a lot of screws. Sometimes some screws get loose and the body starts to make some noises ( pain ) and it does not function 100%. We can take it to the mechanic ( doctor ) and he may help us to fix the machine ( body ).

Now... it all would be perfect if our specialist mechanics would identify correctly the cause of the problem and make the appropriate correction in there. But unfortunately our current medicine is not designed to look for the real problem but instead it is designed to make as much profit as possible and in the shortest possible time. And to achieve this our doctors do the quick and easy repairs to cover up the symptoms - e.g. painkillers, unnecessary operations etc.

What gives me the confidence to criticize the doctors ?
