This picture here shows the attempt to beat the world record by making the largest pancake stack. It looks like this person - together with all the spectators - is having fun.
But don't you think that this is really fucked up ?
Look... these pancakes are going to fall on the ground and later they are going to end up in the rubbish bin. This in itself is called food waste and that is why I am calling it as fucked up. But wait... that is not all... This competition seems to be quite popular and if you search on internet you will be able to find that there are many more people attempting to break this record. Now... to break this record they have to practice and that means that they are wasting even more food and if we sum up all the attempts to break this record we may be talking about tons of food being wasted.
Not a big deal for you ?
Well... that means that you are fuck up too. Because we have millions of people who are starving and we have many thousands who are dying every day because they have no food and/or water.
What would you do if there were starving children among the spectators ? Would you continue breaking your record and waste the food or would you give them food ?
But if you continued breaking your record you would not have to worry about throwing the pancakes into rubbish because these children would eat the food of the floor anyway.
Thus think about what you are doing. You don't have starving people among your spectators but there are many starving people somewhere else. Don't waste food on stupid records but dedicate all the resources towards feeding the hungry people somewhere else. And you should know that during the attempts to beat the records people use a lot of money and other resources. For example people make special huge pans and use cranes for making the biggest pancake which must be flipped upside down and during all of these attempts people are using and literally wasting so many resources which could have been used to help those who are really in need like those who are dying from hunger and lack of drinking water.
