7 YRS PROCESS - DAY 1524 - LIFE ON A REMOTE ISLAND - PART 1

GO BACK

Life on a remote island

I am catching up with posting online my articles.

Thus finally I managed ( with the help of a friend who "pulled me" out of my daily routine ) to go on holiday. I left the island on which I live and I went to another neighbour island. We took a car and we drove around. It is really nice to see the variety of the nature and climate. We drove into the mountains where there are green fields and the forest and then we drove through areas of volcanic fields where there are no trees as everything is dry. And in the end we got to the coast and we had a swim in the ocean.

You'll know... within an hour we were able this drastic difference in the nature. And also within this period of time we experienced big changes in air temperature - from 14-26 Celsius degrees. I did not expect it but it was a nice surprise and so I could refresh myself in the clean waters of the ocean. The whole day was really nice.

As I said before I was taken from the monotony of my daily life routine and I could see new landscapes. But apart from this it was also interesting to observe the local people. At some point we stopped in one of the remote towns and we had a lunch in the restaurant. And when I was sitting there at the table I observed the people sitting there and "doing" their things from their normal daily routine of a Friday afternoon. Thus some of them played domino and others played cards with their friends while having a drink ( beer or coca cola ). For them this was all fun and joy. It was a simple way of entertainment but for them it was perfect in a sense.

Anyway... while I was watching them I asked myself a question:

How would they react if I started to talk with them about the politics in USA ( where there is important presidential campaign which will in a way decided the fate of the whole world for the next few years or maybe even more ) or about the Living Income Guaranteed ?

To be continued
