GO BACK

Extreme poverty in civilized countries

I am catching up with posting online my articles.

This is the continuation of the previous article:

EXTREME POVERTY IN CIVILIZED COUNTRIES - PART 1

So this woman is in a helpless situation. She has been living in the valley in the tent with 4 children for 1.5 years and it does not look like this will end soon. She receives some help from few people who give her some money, food etc. but nobody gives her house.

Now... and what about me ?
Why don-t I take her and her grandchildren with me ?

I will answer it like everybody else:
I cannot do it. It would create burden in my life and relatively quickly I would not be able to sustain neither myself nor these people.

But what I will do is that I try to talk with a friend of mine who knows many people here and is in some way influential and maybe she will be able to help or give me advice about what to do.

You-ll know... this woman is not an isolated case. There are many people out there living on the street with no means and no hope for better life. The government does not give a fuck about them. The current system does not give a fuck about them. Other people don-t give fuck about them.

But guess what is the most probable scenario if these children get a chance to survive ?

Most probably they will become thieves. But now because they want to do it but because they have no choice.

Now... do you see that our current system is fucked up ?
