I am catching up with posting online my articles.
In Spain the Christmas day is not as big as in the rest of the Christian world. Though they have given more importance the 6th of January which according to the bible is the day when the 3 wise man from the East came to honour the God's sun - Jesus. And so the way the Spanish people celebrate this is day that they organize big street parades with 3 kings.
Seeing it on TV or even being here and watching it live is quite interesting and enjoyable. People put a lot of effort into preparing the costumes and organization of this whole event and this is something admirable.
Though there is one thing which caught my attention today when I read an article in the local newspaper about this event. Thus I have found out that this year it has been beaten the record of all times. But unfortunately there is nothing to be proud of. Because this year the cleaning services in the local city have collected 33 tons of rubbish, which is over 30% more than last year !!!
Yes... one evening and this "happy" people have left on the streets 33 tons of rubbish !!!
So you'll see... this one fact ( with this mountain of rubbish ) makes me to question this whole event although it is so important to the Spanish people.
