ANOTHER NONSENSE ABOUT OUR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM - PART 1
So what is the thing that made my jaws drop to the floor ?
Well... there are 2 things... First of all I was told by certain "official authorities" ( Association of Physiotherapists in Spain ) who started to investigate my business activities as a therapist that my colleague who works with me and who is a professional physiotherapist is not allowed to treat people in Spain unless he homologates his certificates and diplomas. And I guess that this would not be a big deal apart from the point that it takes 6-12 months to do so. Though knowing how the system works in Spain I am certain that this whole process will take 12 - 24 months in total. I have been living here already for some time and thus I could expect something like this but still here I want to say a big WTF !!!!!!!
And here comes the second thing which "beats" at least 100 times the previous big WTF.
Look... while this association of physiotherapists started to investigate my website and the list of the treatments which I offer to my clients they threatened me with the financial penalty of 3,000 - 15,000 eu for performing illegal activities of "healing" in the past.
So what is the illegal activity ?
Well... apparently in Spain doing SPORT MASSAGE is reserved to physiotherapists and simple massage therapist is allowed to only "touch people for pleasure and relaxation". And so because these people have found out from the testimonials that I have helped some of my patients with the pains and aches I was under the threat of penalty. Though I have explained that I have all the all the certificates ( from Australia ) to perform this type of treatments and it is just that I didn't know about the laws in Spain and so they have decided to take away the penalty under condition that I will change the list of treatments on my website and obviously if I stop doing this type of treatments.
And so here comes this 100 times bigger WTF !!!!!!!!!!!
