Having 50,000 - 80,000 thoughts a day and then emotions and feelings requires a lot of energy. Every thought fires up the nerve cells within your brain and then the electricity runs through your whole body. But for this to happen there must be a chemical reaction within the cells to facilitate it. And there must be also a chemical reaction to release the energy necessary to feel the emotion.
So you'll see... your senseless thoughts and conversations within your mind use up the resources and energy and accelerate the aging process of your body. Yes... I know that almost everybody does it ( thinking and over thinking ) and it is being accepted as something normal and natural within our society. But this is the scientific fact and you cannot deny it. Remember that once you stop using so much and so quickly resources of your body you will not be getting so sick easy and you will live longer. And then you will also have more time for yourself instead of wasting it in the hospitals.
So as you can see living longer does not depend only on good diet and doing sports. This is also important but this is not all. And having more time does not mean to stretch your clock to 25 hours a day. You will have more time once you stop your thoughts and live to the utmost potential in the awareness of every breath. Theoretically it is very easy. Because all you have to do is to be aware of your every breath. But unfortunately because you have ignored it your whole life and you have got used to thinking 80,000 thoughts a day then most of us will struggle to stop the train of thoughts. It is really worth it to do it. But you will only know it once you do it.
