7 YRS PROCESS - DAY 809 - COMPLICATED MEDICINE VS THE BASICS OF COMMON SENSE

Complicated medicine vs the basics of common sense

I am catching up with posting online my articles.

These article here is based on my experiences as a massage therapist. Lately I have started to experiment with a new approach to a problems of my clients who come to see me with complains about muscular pains and aches in their body.

So let's say that somebody complains about the neck pain and comes to a massage therapist to get help. Now... the standard approach to this problem with the neck pain is simply doing massage on the neck and back. Sometimes the condition gets better immediately but there is also a big percentage of people who improve only a little bit or their condition gets even worse. Within the professional circle this is being explained as "it must get worse before it gets better" though my personal opinion about it - which is based on personal experience as a therapist - is that most of the time this is bullshit and it is being used to cover incompetency.

Now... this person with the neck pain could be tested with the most sophisticated medical equipment and yet the specialist would not be able to pin point and correct the problem. And I see it quite often in my practice as well as practice of few of my colleagues. In this case the patient is being sent to a series of massage and/or physiotherapy treatments but then again quite often the problem with the neck is still not being corrected.

As I said before lately I have started to experiment with a new approach to the problem of muscular pains ( e.g. neck pain ) and what I do is that I analyse visually the posture of the clients and then I tell them to correct it on the spot. And what is interesting that most of the time the clients immediately tell me that their pain is less intense. So then I tell them to be conscious and aware of their posture for the next 2-3 weeks and do few basic exercises.

And you know what ?

If they do well what I tell them then usually their condition gets permanently better and apart from this they don't fall into the pattern of "getting worse before it gets better".

So you'll see... the basic thing like correcting the posture within the body can fix a lot of problems and this basic and literally free thing is much more effective than the most sophisticated medical equipment and treatments with the specialist who charge you fortune for their services.
