7 YRS PROCESS - DAY 712 - HONOURING WAR HEROES

GO BACK

Honouring war heroes

I am catching up with posting online my articles. I moved to a new place and I was without fixed internet access for almost a month. I was also very busy with work and that is why I got this big delay with posting online. Though I did not skip a single day with writing my articles.

Today I have found on Facebook a post saying that Barack Obama is the only president of United States who doesn't participate in the celebrations honouring soldiers who died during the D-Day military operations during the II World War. And you know... I am asking myself W(why)TF should we honour these soldiers who fought then in the past ?

We all know what the war is about. It is about killing. And thus why should we honour those who kill other people ( and animals ) ?

The real war heroes are not those who fight at the front line but those who do not participate in the war. The real war heroes are those who deny doing the obligatory military service. The real war heroes are those who prevent the war. The real war heroes are those who find the constructive solution in the peaceful way.

These are the real war heroes and not those who fight at the front line. Yes... these people risk their lives and some of them get killed or injured permanently but they are not war heroes. These people follow blindly the orders without using their brain. These people kill and injure other people ( including children and innocent people ). These people are afraid to take responsibility. Thus they are not the war heroes.

This thing about the war heroes is a real bullshit which we have taken for granted and accepted so easily. It is another automated reaction and we simply participate in the celebrations honouring the soldiers who died during the war without asking the question whether this was necessary etc.

Myself I do not honor the soldiers because they do not deserve it. But I do respect these beings like Mahatma Gandhi or Nelson Mandela because they achieved something remarkable in peaceful way without the use of violence. And to me they are the real heroes.
