7 YRS PROCESS - DAY 642 - WOULD THE DOCTOR TRY TO SAVE LIFE OF ANOTHER PERSON IN THE SAME WAY AS LIFE OF MICHAEL SCHUMACHER ?

GO BACK

Would the doctor try to save life of another person in the same way as life of Michael Schumacher ?

As you probably already know, Michael Schumacher - the legend of the Formula 1- is in a critical medical condition after ski accident during which he injured severely his head by hitting the rock. The doctors do everything possible to save his life and thus they have put Michael into medically induced coma since end of December because this helps to stabilise his condition. There have been conducted already at least 1 operation and the doctors do another one as soon as this is possible.

And this is all wonderful that the doctors do everything possible to save Michael but I have a question...

Would they "fight" so passionately to save a life of a person if that was not Schumacher but normal citizen or some homeless person ?

NO... NO... NO...

The doctors say all the wonderful things about saving people's life but in the end it is all about money, fame, prestige etc. If you don't have money and/or very good health insurance you would not be put into medically induced coma because this is all very expensive. Thus you see... this is not about saving life but about saving life of those who have money.

Now... I don't want to judge the doctors who treat M. Schumacher because I don't know them. But yet I am certain that if the doctors succeed to save life of they will be treated as some sort of heroes and they will gain a lot of respect and fame in the society.

But here comes another question...

Should they still be called heroes if the next day they disconnect from the life supporting machines inducing medical coma another person who has not sufficient health insurance ?

Yes... they still should be called heroes because nobody will talk about it in the news ( if you did not get it, this is a sarcasm ).

What are the solutions ?

As long as ego and money are the motivating factor behind doctor's activities there will not be true respect for life. And as long as there is no respect for life as life there will be no real solutions, because there will be always a compromise. I know that this is easier said than done but it doesn't mean that this is not possible at all. Thus let's start the change with the Living Income Guaranteed.
