ABOUT PERSONAL EMPOWERMENT - PART 1
Then we have priests and religious leaders. Whatever you say or whatever they say they are in the position of power within the current system. The source of their power comes from the beliefs that they represent the almighty god. But this again is the external power and has nothing to do with the inner power. And that is why we hear about priests who abuse sexually children and they also struggle big time with other addictions.
Soldiers, police, criminals and mafia establish their position of power through threatening other people with physical force and spreading fear by brutally punishing or killing few people as an example. It is extremely effective method to get quickly to the privileged position of power but at the same time these people live in constant fear that somebody else may come and do the same to them as they do to others and thus they need to protect themselves at all times and watch the environment for any signs of possible threat and act with more brutality and force to prevent the attack and maintain their position of power. And again it has nothing to do with the inner empowerment.
There are many other examples of people who have placed themselves in the position of power with the current system. But unfortunately majority of these people have really no idea about what power is about and they simply abuse this power to get more benefits for themselves at the cost of others. Look at the current situation in the world. We have around 1 billion of people starving or at least not getting proper nutrition. We have extreme poverty on a wide scale while there are people who live in luxuries which they don't really need.
But here comes a question... what is inner power and the inner empowerment ?
Inner means inside and thus it has something to do with being powerful on the inside. And inside I cannot prove my power with guns... inside I cannot prove my power with money... inside I cannot prove my power with my social status... etc. If you still don't know what I mean then try to stop your addiction with the gun !!! Inside of you there is only you and you are in charge of everything unless you allow other to be in charge of you. But in the end it is always you who is responsible for everything that is happening inside of you.
And lately I am becoming more and more aware of it. For example I was sitting in front of the computer last week deciding what to do. I had a choice between doing my important responsibilities or playing the game or doing some other stuff. It was a moment of choice and I have decided to do my responsibilities. And I was glad that I did it instead of wasting time on other things and feeling guilty that I am behind with my responsibilities.
