I am catching up with posting online my articles.
According to statistics the support for legalization of marijuana has climbed more than 10 percent in the past year alone.
Myself I don't smoke pot but I would also vote for making it legal. First of all making something illegal will not stop people from using it. And we have proof of it. Problem with drugs and the addiction still exists and nothing has changed in this regard. Thus I would vote for legalizing marijuana and other drugs but I would concentrate on proper education about drugs and the consequences of taking them because this is the only way to effectively address this problem.
The second reason why I would vote for legalisation of marijuana is because of Facebook. Yeap... thanks to the social media and various posts I have learned and realised that marijuana is a plant which has many medicinal uses - e.g. cancer. Then we have also hemp which is a distinct variety of Cannabis sativa and this could be used for making very durable material from the fibres inside of the plant. And apparently - according to the posts on Facebook - this plant could be used for many other things which would benefit greatly humanity.
And thus I would be voting for legalising of Cannabis and Hemp.
And the same as me there are more people who use Facebook and other social media and who have become aware of the benefits of the marijuana and that is why we have sudden increase in the support of marijuana by 10 % in the last year.
This is very interesting. And it gives us indication that the internet and social media is a very powerful tool for education of population. Thus let's use it to change the world into a better place by educating people and encouraging them to work together towards the change.
