7 YRS PROCESS - DAY 426 - ANIMAL PRISONS - PART 1

GO BACK

Animal prisons

Imagine yourself being enclosed in the room. You are being given food and water every day and you have few little toys to play with. And now imagine yourself being enclosed in this room your whole life...

But this is not all. Let's have a look at few other points regarding your stay in this room. You have a window through which you can see the life around you. You can look around but you cannot get out of the room through this window because it is well secured. The room is few times bigger than you ( let's say 4m x 4m x 2,5m ) and you can walk around it a little bit or jump when you are bored but there is not enough place to run etc. Of course we must not forget about the physiological needs of your body like shitting and pissing. And this need is being taken care of in this way... you have a little designated area in the corner of your room with some sand and your caretaker cleans this area for you and brings you new sand every few days. You can see your caretaker but you cannot talk with him because you don't speak his language.

And I guess this is it... this all that you have at your disposal and you have to spend there your whole life. And here is the question:

"Would you like to spend your whole life like this ?"

If your answer is "NO" then:

WTF do you do something like this to the animals ?

I am not talking just about the ZOO. Although it is bigger and it looks like natural environment for the animals it is still a prison. But have a look at the tiny cages for birds and other animals and small aquariums for fishes etc. It is fucking disgrace… but of course you don't even think about it in this way... You just say: "wow... how beautiful is this fish or bird or lizard etc. !!!".

To be continued...
