7 YRS PROCESS - DAY 402 - WHAT IF ?... WE BUILD NEW HOUSES INSTEAD OF TEMPLES ?

GO BACK

What if ?... we build new houses instead of temples ?

Let's go straight to the point. We ( people ) build on earth many temples for the almighty god. The purpose of it is to show respect for the holy god and to have a place where we could pray and "spend" time with him. Although the general objective of the prayers is to ask god for forgiveness for our sins and thank him for all the good that is happening in our life we also pray and ask god so that we could live more abundantly. Maybe people don't admit it much because as far as I remember asking god for material things is not ethical but the fact is that most of people do ask god for material things.

But I don't see logic at all within this whole concept of building the temples and praying for material things. Look at this... Although many times people do the work ( construction ) for free but still building a new church ( temple ) is usually a big investment and requires a lot of money - the temples are quite often huge building and raised on prime real estate in the centre of the city. Thus people invest money, labour and other resources first and then they pray to god so that he gives them some material things. Although the religious people don't like my argument about it, it all looks literally like any other financial investment where you invest money first and you expect profit later in time.

But here I have couple of questions...

Why don't we use all the money and the resources to build the houses and other things that we need instead of building the temples ? Why do we pray to god for material things if we could make them ourselves ?

Do you see logic in it ? I don't... And this is the whole thing with the religion. There is no logic in it whatsoever but still so many people have fallen for it and don't even realise the insanity of it. We think that there is a logic in it because we pray and god will answer our prayers thus we could presume that this is the logic within it but at the same time don't we have enough proof that god literally doesn't give a shit about what is happening here on earth and our prayers are not answered ? And even if it looks that they have been answered but have you considered that maybe this is a coincidence or maybe there is another fully explainable law behind it and simply we don't understand it and instead we give all the credit to god ?

Thus I have a final question...

Don't you think that we would be much better off if we built new homes and other things that would help us with the daily life instead of building the temples are expensive to build and maintain but have no practical purpose whatsoever ?
